Run a Mile on the NEW U of M 200 Meter Indoor Track!!

Ann Arbor Track Club members with an active 2018 membership through 12/22/2018 are invited to run the AATC Mile on the NEW U of M 200 meter indoor track during the Wolverine Invitational on Saturday, January 12, 2019.  In consideration of attending this 2019 event, the club kindly asks that you remember to renew your membership in January of 2019.  Because participation may be limited to 40 runners, please only sign up if you are committed to run the event.

Sign up: Send an email  to JJ Jankowski at jjjank67@gmail.com requesting to participate. Include your name, age, gender, and membership number if known.  Any update to the event will be sent by email and posted on the AATC website.

Event details (subject to change)

Where: New U of M Indoor Track Building,  2540 S. State St. at the Stephen M. Ross Athletic Campus, South Complex

What: Distance is 1 mile (8 laps)

When: The approximate time when we will take the track that Saturday depends on the number of collegiate teams that are participating in the track meet.  Please arrive at the facility lobby by 10:00 AM and look for the AATC group. This will give us time to organize before reporting to the indoor track no later than 11:00 A.M.; be ready to take the track anytime between 11:00 A.M. and 12:30 P.M.

We may run two heats if we have more than 20 runners. The heats may be split by gender, age, or pace.

What to Wear:  Your AATC SWAG!  Arrive at the indoor track wearing your outside shoes, and then change into your clean flats or spikes for our race.  The flats or spikes or any shoe  you wear on the track must have a clean bottom.   Regarding the banking of the track, the club will decide and the banking will be from 10%, 5%, or none.

Parking: There are two parking lots, one on the north side of the building adjacent to the tennis courts, and another on the south side of the building.
