The Ann Arbor Track Club will hold its Annual Meeting on Sunday, November 12, 2017, at the Original Cottage Inn at 512 East William Street in downtown Ann Arbor (phone 734/663-3379). The Annual Meeting includes a business meeting, a dinner, and awards. The dinner will start at 6:00 P.M. with an informal pre-dinner social, and includes an all-you-can-eat buffet of salad, pasta, assorted Cottage Inn pizzas, dessert, and assorted non-alcoholic beverages. Alcoholic beverages may be purchased separately. The cost is $22 per person for members with reservations, and $27 at the door without a reservation. Spouses, significant others, and friends are welcome to attend. You can pay by check or cash at the door. Make checks payable to “Ann Arbor Track Club.”
The Annual Meeting is traditionally an occasion for AATC members to socialize in a non-running environment and to honor their fellow members for their service and achievements. In addition, pursuant to the AATC’s Bylaws, the election of members to the Board of Directors takes place at the Annual Meeting. Directors are elected by the membership for a term of two years. A maximum of four directors will be elected at this year’s election.
All club members who are—
- age 18 or older, and
- members in good standing as of October 1, 2017
are eligible to vote during the business portion of the meeting. The election will take place at approximately 6:45 P.M., before dinner. You are not required to attend the social portion of the Annual Meeting or purchase dinner as a condition to voting in the election.
Any club member who—
- is age 21 or older, and
- has been a club member in good standing for at least one year prior to the election
is eligible to run for one of the open positions on the Board of Directors. To be considered by the Nominating Committee for inclusion on the ballot, potential candidates are required to complete the statement-of-interest form on the AATC’s website at:

and forward their completed form to Brian Harreld, Chair of the Nominating Committee, by email at BrHa72@gmail.com. The completed form must be received by 12:00 noon on Tuesday, October 17, 2017. Nominations from the floor the night of the Annual Meeting will not be allowed; however, write-ins on the ballot will be permitted.
