The University of Michigan recently opened an impressive new indoor track building on the Stephen M. Ross Athletic Complex consisting of a 6-lane 200m banked track encircled by a 3-lane 300m warmup track. Enchanted by the new track, the AATC negotiated with UM to allow us to hold three special Wednesday night workouts on the 300m track on January 23rd, February 27th, and March 27th, from 7 to 8 pm. Stani Bohac will offer a structured workout for those interested (intervals beginning at 7:15), or you can jog in lane 3 while taking in the new surroundings.
The new UM track is located at 2540 South State Street. State Street is under construction - you may have to use an alternate driving route but the building should be accessible and plenty of parking is available. Cost is $8 for AATC members or $12 for nonmembers. UM requires runners to change into a clean pair of shoes and only water is allowed inside the track.
