AATC’s New Educational Program – at Tuesday Night Workouts
Sponsored by Running Fit
Gait Analysis (For AATC members only): Sign up for a private 10 minute analysis with a coach. Is your running maximizing your potential? Kim Likosky from ATI along with Running Fit will be on site at two Tuesday night workouts from 6:30 until after the workout to perform free individual gait assessments. Kim will go over techniques to improve your efficiency. Additional Gait Assessments will take place at Running Fit downtown from 6-8 PM on Friday, May 17th with video playback to address concerns and increase awareness to facilitate improvement.
Nutrition: How does your food and drink impact your performance? Two demonstrations will take place before and after Tuesday night workouts beginning at 6:50 pm. A representative from UCAN (super Starch) will provide nutritional information on its benefits, and samples will be provided throughout the first workout. Nutrition Part II is in the works.
Recovery and Injury Prevention: Are injuries inevitable? How can you minimize injuries and recover from them quickly. This workshop will take place before and after two Tuesday night workouts beginning at 6:50 pm. Part I in the series will focus on the science of rolling — when to roll and the most effective ways to roll. Running Fit will have demos on sight for AATC runners to use. Come Roll With Us! Plans are in the works with another community partner for Part II on strength and flexibility.
