Leslie / Olson
The run starts from the parking lot at Leslie Science Center, 1831 Traver Rd. in northern Ann Arbor – SEE DRIVING DIRECTIONS BELOW – and follows the trails from Leslie into Black Pond Woods. Shortly after passing Black Pond at a 3-way split, take the trail on the right. This trail will exit near Leslie Park Golf Course. Follow the road and exit into the second trail opening through a field on the left. Enjoy some interesting sights through this short, somewhat urban section. Then exit on Dhu Varren Rd. just across from Olson Park.
Enter Olson Park to a series of mountain bike trails. Run the perimeter trail that skirts around the park, following the orange diamond markers. This mountain bike trail is about 3 miles, winding through the woods, including many quick hills. Take your chances off the diving board (see-saw) about half way through.
Return from Olson Park with a few diversions back to Leslie Science Center, ending at the magnificent "Birds of Prey".
